#38 - The Sea and the Bells

#38
Artist: Rachel's
Album: The Sea and the Bells
Year of Release: 1996
Label: Quarterstick

Here's an album that ties together my musings on post-rock from #39 and the Louisville sound from #45.  But absolutely not in the way you would expect.  The aforementioned Jason Noble is here and he still has a guitar.  But instead of leading the way and rocking out, it sits in the background and is used primarily to accent what the rest of the band is bringing.  The result is something entirely different that still displays the same soul and fundamental understanding of what music can do.  As striking and touching as anything else on the list while heavily emphasizing the "post" part of post-rock.

And speaking of the specific moments part from the last post, here's that from this album.
